Gradebook Setup: Grade Status

A Grade Status can be selected for each assignment mark the teacher gives when in Full Edit mode on the Grades tab. The grade status will affect the way the mark is calculated in the average.

The Grade Statuses must be set up in the Gradebook Setup tab. Select Grade Status from the header.

This option is only available to users with the role GBSetup.

Field	Description
Code	Status code that will display when in the Full Edit mode of the mark on the Grades tab. See Entering Marks.
Description	Status description that will display in the dropdown when selecting a status in Full Edit mode.
Action	The action will determine how the mark will get calculated into the class section's average. Valid - The mark will be included in the average. Ignore - The mark will not be included in the average and will be displayed shaded in the mark cell. Zero- The mark will be calculated as a zero into the average and will display in red in the mark cell. Every status must have one of the three actions selected.
Sort	Set the order in which the status will display in the dropdown, in ascending order. Note: Valid should be the first option (0) in order to default all marks as valid and include them in the average.
