Gradebook: Grades Tab
The Grades tab is accessed from the Gradebook module on the Staff Portal.
It contains the settings to add and manage assignments and filter the assignments and marking periods that are displayed.
The following options are available on the Grades tab within 4 sections (Actions, All Marking Periods, Options, and All Categories):

Actions Options | |
Add | Select Add to add a new item (assignment, homework, quiz, etc.) The assignment will display as a new column in the grid. See Adding Assignments and Tests for more information. |
Delete | Select Delete to
delete the assignment. It will be deleted from all sections.
To remove the assignment from only some sections, select edit. |
Edit | Select Edit to edit the assignment details of the assignment column that is selected. |
Save | Select Save to save the marks entered. See Entering Marks. |
Publish | Select to send the marking period's average mark to report card grading. See Publishing Marks. |
Bulk | Select to assign the same mark
to all students in the class section. The mark can then be adjusted
for a few exceptions if needed.
A line with the "student name" of All will display . Enter the mark in the appropriate assignment column and then click Done to update all the marks. |

Select one or more marking periods
in order to display the assignments and marks from the marking
period(s).
If multiple marking periods are selected, the average for the first one will display in the Average column. If running in Silverlight, the average will not display if multiple periods are selected. |

Editable | Select this option in order to be in edit mode and to enter data. |
Subtotals | Select this option to display a column for each category with the average of the selected marking period. |
Full Edit | Select to display additional marking options when entering marks for an assignment. See Entering Marks. |
Dropped | Select this option to display students who dropped the course in gray. |
All Categories | |
Cw, Hw, Quiz, Test | Select one or more categories
(ex: classwork, homework, quiz, test) to display the assignments
and marks.
The Average column will display only if all categories are selected. |
