Gradebook: Publishing Marks to Report Cards
The Average marks of each marking period from Gradebook can be sent to the Report Card grading module as the mark to print on the report card. It will appear as the Marking Periods Mark (MrkMark) only, and will not affect any other report card field such as conduct, effort, comments, etc.
The mark to be published will be taken from one of these columns in Gradebook:
A. Grade - The character average column.
-
By default, the Grade mark will be published as the Report Cards mark.
B. Avg - The Avg (average) column.
-
If the Marking Period in Tools > Code Setup > School > Academics > Grading > Marking Periods is flagged as Publish Numeric, the Avg mark will be published.
C. Override - The manual mark the teacher entered in the Override column.
To Publish the Marks to Report Card Grading:
1. On the Grades tab, click on Save if any marks were entered in the Override.
2. On the Grades tab, click on Publish.
3. If the grades report cards marks are already entered, a warning will display, prompting the user whether to publish them and override the existing marks.
4. The Published column will now display the Published mark that will print on the report cards.
-
If the mark is changed in the Report Card Grading, the Published mark will be updated.
-
The Published mark will display in red if publishing the marks again will change the already published mark.
-
If the option GB.PublishNumericRounding is set to true, the mark will be rounded to a whole number when publishing it to grading. Ex: 96.72 will get published as 97.
