Adding a Pledge

A pledge, or obligation, contains the details of all monies the account is committed to pay.

 

To add a pledge:

 

1. Launch the Add Pledge wizard by either:

 

  • Opening the pledges form from the Forms panel. On the grid's toolbar, click add .

  • Selecting the Add Pledge icon from the Tasks panel,

The message "This account is marked as 'Do Not Solicit'. Do you wish to add this pledge anyway?" will display when the Do not solicit flag is checked off on the Demographic's Account Information tab. Select yes to add the pledge.

 

2. The Add Pledge wizard will launch will the following pages:

 

  • Pledge - enter the pledge information including campaign, amount, and date.

 

  • Schedule Details - adjust the pledge schedule; applicable only when the pledge was scheduled in installments on the Pledge page.

 

 

  • Unapplied Payments - if the account has unapplied payments, they may be listed and applied to the new pledge.

 

3. Click Finish  to save the pledge or Finish & New to save the pledge and add a new one.
