Role Feature Types

Role Feature Types contain the various options, permissions, and settings that can then be assigned to a Role Defines the permission access that a user of the portal may have. Examples of Role Types include Admin, Principal, Office, Nurse, Guidance Counselor, Head of School, etc. Users are assigned a role which determines their access. Each role type may be set with different features and settings and permissions. Role types are assigned these features in Role Feature Roles.

 

NOTE: Role Feature Types are set up by DDC. Do not add or modify these records, unless instructed by a DDC representative. See below for a description of some of the  Role Feature Types that are set up in the 360° system.

 

 

 

 

Role Feature Type	Description
AssignmentsLimitOverride	Gradebook: The users with the role can override the Gradebook limits and save an assignment that exceeds the limits.
Calendar.Grade	Calendar: Allows the user to access the Grade selector in the scope of the portal's Calendar.
Calendar.Section	Calendar: Allows the user to access the Section selector in the scope of the portal's Calendar.
Calendar.Student	Calendar: Allows the user to access the Student selector in the scope of the portal's Calendar.
Calendar.Teacher	Calendar: Allows the user to access the Teacher selector in the scope of the portal's Calendar.
DnnFeatureType:ViolationNotifyEmail	Gradebook: Will receive an email that the assignment limit is being exceeded. See Gradebook: Limits.
GB.TermSelector	Gradebook: Allows the user to select a term on the Gradebook module.
GBSetup	Gradebook: Allows the user to configure Gradebook settings.
GB.SendEmail	Gradebook: The users with the role will receive emails from Gradebook, such as the curriculum advisor.
