Introduction to the Query Builder
Most 360 reports are made up of three parts:
1. The Output Fieldset: These are the tables and fields that make up the report
2. The Criteria: This is the filter which the user sets for data that appears on the report
3. The Layout: This is the report layout that displays the data queried for.
For example, a Receivable Detail report shows the names of accounts that pledged, their addresses and the pledge information. The layout is pre-defined for you. What the user controls is the data that will be shown on the report.
If no criteria is put in for this report, it would show all accounts that pledged to any campaigns and what was pledged to all campaigns. In essence, we start with a very large group of information. We use criteria to limit what is shown on a report.
A report can have multiple criteria sets defined for it. This section will detail creating criteria sets for the reports that are part of 360’s report library.
