Managing Alumni
Keeping in touch with alumni throughout the years is an important part of managing a school, and can increase the school's ability to gain support and raise funds.
Students who leave the school are not automatically flagged as alumni. Instead, the records of students who are no longer attending the school are collected into an alumni tracking file by refreshing alumni tracking. This file, which is kept separate from the Demographics, enables the school to:
- Refresh alumni tracking so student records are added to the alumni tracking file as explained in Alumni Tracking.
- Track alumni in order to view and manage these records.
- Send alumni information to the Demographics system so that accounts can be created and updated.
- Copy and export alumni tracking information to use in other third-party programs.
