Scheduling a Report: Introduction

Reports can be scheduled to run automatically at specified times. This is very useful for reports that are run on a steady basis, such as daily attendance reports.

 

Access the scheduled reports from the Agent tab of the Query Builder.

 

The Agent tab contains two tabs :

  • Jobs  - lists the scheduled reports. Select a report folder from the list on the left to display the schedules of reports from that folder, or choose Public > All Schedules to view all.
  • Schedules - lists the types of schedules (daily at 10 am, every 4 hours, etc.)

 

From the Jobs toolbar , select one of the options:

  • New - schedule a report to run.
  • Edit - edit an already scheduled job.
  • Delete - delete a report schedule. This will delete the scheduled job, not the report. The report itself will not be affected.
  • Run - run the selected scheduled job.

 

A scheduled report can also be previewed by selecting the option on the lower right of the Agent tab.
